Where To Stay During A Disneyland Family Vacation: Tropicana Inn & Suites
As a person who prefers to stay on property at Disney World, and highly recommends Disney World hotels, I am in awe that I am now excitedly and highly recommending the off-property Tropicana Inn & Suites at Disneyland! It was the perfect place for our family’s 5-day Anaheim stay and 4-day Disneyland vacation! Truth be told, when researching places to stay near Disneyland, off-property hotels/motels come highly recommended.
Here are some reasons why I specifically recommend the Tropicana Inn & Suites if/when traveling to Disneyland:
- Tropicana is located on S. Harbor Blvd., across the street from Disneyland!
Note: Most of the “hotels” across the street from Disneyland bare actually motels - that’s a design thing, not necessarily a level of service thing.
- Although South Harbor Blvd. is lined with hotels/motels, at the time we booked our trip, months prior to traveling, none of the other hotels/motels offered this wonderful suite layout that Tropicana did.
- Tropicana’s Park View Suite was spacious and included a pullout couch that turns into a bed in the living room, king-sized bed in the master bedroom, and a pullout chair there too!
- Tropicana offers clean and pleasant accommodations.
- Tropicana offers super affordable pricing.
- The walk from the Tropicana to the “Disneyland” entrance sign is approximate 2 minutes and the total walk to the actual park (as in, beyond the entrance sign) is approximately 6 minutes.
- We watched the fireworks show, with a clear view, from our Park View Suite balcony 2 of the days we stayed here!
- Tropicana Inn & Suites is listed as a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel.
