We - Allan, 11-year-old AJ, 7-year-old LJ, and I - enjoyed a back-to-back cruise aboard the Disney Wish! We combined a 4-night cruise and a 3-night cruise, which gave us one week aboard this brand spanking new ship! We’ve been enjoying sharing our experiences through lots of great vlogs on YouTube and content on Instagram and TikTok, so it’s only right that we share highlights from our experience here on our blog.

Why A Back-To-Back Disney Cruise?

For starters, we are super thankful that we booked a back-to-back because it allowed us to have a mix of a fun and active vacation and a restful one too! See, if we only did a 3-night or 4-night cruise, we wouldn’t have had the slower, laid-back days on our balcony and in our stateroom like we did on Days 2 and 3 of this sailing. We would’ve come in the door swinging like we did on Day 6… doing the most! However, with a high-demand new ship like the Wish, we may not have had the opportunity to do the most because things book up FAST!

One major tip for you if considering a back-to-back cruise is to head to Guest Services on the last night of the first leg of your cruise to book events for the second leg of your cruise. The same rule applies if

We Renewed Our Vows On A Disney Cruise!

We chose to celebrate our 10th anniversary with a vow renewal on a 7-day Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean sailing, which was a magical escape from navigating the hustle and bustle of New York City, working demanding jobs, and parenting our two rambunctious boys – well, we still parented our boys throughout the cruise, but they shared a stateroom with Grandma and spent hours enjoying the Oceaneers Club, which allowed Mommy and Daddy some much needed rest and relaxation.

On this particular voyage, we enjoyed our gorgeous ship on sea days and we also enjoyed days at port in Tortola, B.V.I., and St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. Then, at sea on Day 6, we renewed our vows on the Meridian Patio, Deck 12, aft, with breathtaking views of the ocean and sky as our backdrop. Whew! I get goosebumps thinking about it all, even now. Our vow renewal was simply amazing!

We have taken a 5-day, an 8-day, a 14-day, and multiple 7-day cruises, and with that experience, we can truly say that, during our 3-day Disney Dream cruise, from August 24, 2018 to August 27, 2018, we felt as if we received the value of a 7-day cruise. Since then, I have had many conversations with folks interested in cruising with Disney, and I promised each of them that I would prepare a blog post with tips for planning a Disney cruise. While there are many general cruise-planning tips, some of which I have already shared on this blog, today’s blog post is specific to Disney cruising, and especially short Disney cruises.
